This was widely reported to have been due to fighting in the crowd, however, in reality it was nothing more than people at the front of a 35,000 crowd moshing and slipping in the mud (it had rained heavily). Unfortuneately this was followed by the crowd pushing forward, which led to the two fans being crushed. Nevertheless, it was replaced with another gigantic rock festival which took place in Milton Keynes with BON JOVI headlining. On the same bill were Europe, Skid Row, Vixen. During the BON JOVI performance Steven Tyler and Joe Perry from Aerosmith came on stage for a jam session. They performed the Aerosmith classic Walk This Way. 1990Whitesnake (headline) Whitesnake, Aerosmith, Poison, Quireboys, Thunder 1991Moscow, with approximately 700'000 fans AC/DC (headline) AC/DC, Metallica, Mötley Crüe, Queensryche, Pantera, The Black Crowes, EST (local band) 1992Iron Maiden (headline) Iron Maiden, Skid Row, Thunder, Slayer, W.A.S.P., The Almighty 1994Aerosmith (headline) Aerosmith, Extreme, Sepultura, Pantera, Therapy?, Pride and Glory Second Stage: The Wildhearts, Terrorvision, Skin, Biohazard, Cry of Love, Headswim 1995Metallica (headliner), event called 'Escape From The Studio '95', as Metallica were taking a break from recording their Load album Metallica, Therapy?, Skid Row, Slayer, Slash's Snakepit, White Zombie, Machine Head, Warrior Soul, Corrosion of Conformity 1996KISS, Ozzy Osbourne (Joint HeadLine).
